Dr Cherian completed her masters in Oral Surgery at Edinburgh University and a further Diploma in Enhanced Dental Sciences at Queen Mary University. She gained valuable experience in Oral Medicine and Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at the Royal London Hospital. She then gained a variety of experience working in the Oral Maxillofacial Surgery department at Queens Hospital and is currently working as an Oral Surgery Speciality Doctor at Mid and South Essex, Southend Hospital.
Dr Cherian specialises in surgical and nonsurgical dental extractions and can provide treatment under local anaesthesia with or without sedation. Dr Cherian’s friendly approach puts even the most nervous patients at ease. She has immense experience in the treatment of patient with complex medical backgrounds. Dr Sugandh is also sedation trained and can incorporate this into her everyday clinical practice.
In addition to complex dental extractions, Dr Cherian can treat other oral medical conditions such as oral ulcerations and burning mouth syndrome. She can provide oral biopsies, TMJ pain treatment and treat patients on bisphosphonates who need dental extractions.
Outside of work Dr Cherian loves to spend time with her family in Essex. She is also enjoying honing her skills as a gardener.
