What Does a Hygienist Do?

Hygienists are trained to carry out scaling and polishing; including removing plaque, calculus (hardened plaque) and stains. They can also help you stop suffering from bad breath. Hygienists are able to apply fluoride treatments and varnishes to desensitise the teeth. We will ensure that your appointment is as pain-free and comfortable as possible for you.

Your hygienist will use special instruments to ensure that your teeth are thoroughly clean, and are experts at teaching you how to look after your teeth and gums.
