OBAGI Blue skin peel penetrates further into the skin than Superficial Skin Peels and treatments usually contain trichloroacetic acid (TCA). What are Skin Peels?
The Obagi Blue Peel® uses Trichloracetic Acid (TCA) as the active ingredient mixed with the patented Blue Base from Obagi®.
Unlike common alpha-hydroxy skin peels or at-home procedures, the Obagi® Blue Peel puts control of your treatment in professional hands. The strength of the Skin Peel treatment will be determined based on individual needs, the level of skin damage and the desired level of transformation.To prepare the skin and for best possible outcome prior to the procedure, the Obagi® Nu-Derm System must be used.

Your experience and the result
The Obagi® Blue Peel procedure takes less than an hour and does not typically require sedation. The Blue Peel will be applied to your face and neck. A mild burning sensation will occur; that generally lasts only a few minutes. Then your skin will have a bluish tint that usually washes off in 12-24 hours. Depending on the strength and depth of the peel, following the procedure, you will experience light swelling. Within two to three days, your skin will begin to peel. This peeling continues over the next several days. By the 7-10 day, your skin should be healed.
The damaged surface layer of skin is removed, and soon the body replenishes it with a fresh layer that is smoother, well-toned and more even in colour.
Keeping your skin’s new healthy glow and youthful appearance is an ongoing process. Other Obagi skincare systems (such as Obagi Nu-Derm and Obagi C Rx) will be prescribed to maintain the rejuvenated skin.
