Labiaplasty – For Total Feminine Confidence

Rediscover your confidence and comfort

Labiaplasty, also known as labial reduction surgery, is a procedure to reduce the size of the inner lips of the vagina. Some women find that their labia minora (the inner lips of the vagina) are too big, too long or protrude too much. This can cause feelings of embarrassment, loss in confidence and in some cases it can even be uncomfortable or painful.

Some women feel self-conscious because they are aware that their labia may be noticeable in tight clothing or their vagina just doesn’t look “neat”. Others find their labia cause them discomfort during sex or other activities such as cycling or horse riding.

With labial reduction surgery we can decrease the size or the labia minora and reduce how much it protrudes, giving you a more aesthetically pleasing look, a more comfortable result and restoring your confidence.

Your Labiaplasty consultation

If you want to find out if labiaplasty surgery can help you then the first step is to book a consultation with one of our professional and experienced surgeons, Ms Kallirroi Tzafetta, Mr Hagen Schumacher or Mr Bhagwat Mathur. In this meeting you can share your concerns and discuss exactly what it is that you’re looking to achieve from the surgery.

The surgeon will ask you about your medical history, lifestyle and about any previous surgeries in order to ensure you are a good candidate for the procedure. They will talk you through the options available to you and advise you on the best approach to get the results you want, suggesting additional or alternate procedures such as vaginoplasty (vaginal tightening), liposuction or hoodectomy if they may suit you better. You can discuss any risks involved and get the answers to any questions you might have, so you can move forward feeling confident and informed.

Is Labiaplasty right for you?

Vaginas come in all shapes and sizes. Like many parts of the human anatomy “normal” can vary greatly. Ultimately the choice of whether labiaplasty is right for you is up to you, but we do recommend that you have a consultation with your GP to determine whether surgery to correct your concern with your vagina is the right course of action.

What to expect from Labiaplasty surgery?

During the operation your surgeon will carefully trim the labia minora, reducing its size and preventing it from protruding. Sometimes this is done in a straight line, other times a V shape or W shape is better suited to create symmetry and give you the best result. The whole process will be discussed with you and agreed upon in your consultation, so you can feel confident and comfortable throughout the whole process. The surgery is usually performed under a local anaesthetic with sedation and you will be able to return home the same day.

Healing time is usually around six to eight weeks and the stitches are fully dissolvable. You will need to refrain from intercourse for four to six weeks following surgery.
