Do you have parking?

Yes there is free parking available onsite for FACEMED patients.

Are you fully wheelchair accessible?

Yes, FACEMED is fully accessible for all disabilities.

Are children allowed at FACEMED?

Children are welcome patients in the dental department. We do not allow children to attend with parents for non-surgical medical aesthetic appointments or surgical appointments. We also advise not to bring children to your adult dental treatment appointment. Children are welcome to come with their parents for their routine check-ups, it’s helpful for children to see their parents have a general check-up.

Aesthetics

Can I fly within a few days of my non-surgical treatment?

Yes

I am taking antibiotics is it still ok to have my treatment?

Yes you can have treatment whilst taking antibiotics however the reason for the antibiotics may mean you cannot have treatment. Please call to discuss before your appointment.

Do I need to apply some numbing cream prior to my non-surgical treatment?

Not always – this depends on the patient and the treatment. We always have numbing cream available.

How long will my non-surgical treatment last?

This varies person to person and depends on the treatment. This will be discussed with you during your complimentary consultation.

Will I bruise after my non-surgical treatment?

Sometimes

Will I have any swelling after my non-surgical treatment?

Sometimes

Can I apply make up after my non-surgical treatment?

Yes

I am pregnant, can I still have my treatment?

No, you cannot have any non-surgical treatments whilst pregnant.

I am breast feeding; can I still have my treatment?

No, you cannot have any non-surgical treatments whilst breast feeding.

Can I bring my baby/children to my non-surgical appointment?

No, we advise patients not to bring children under the age of 18 to their non-surgical appointment.

I am not sure if I need surgery or non-surgical treatment?

Can I have treatment on the day of my consultation?

We advise all patients not to have treatment on the same day as their initial consultation to allow for a minimum 2-week cooling off period. Special circumstances can be considered on a case by case basis.

Surgery

Do you offer finance?

We do not offer finance for surgical procedures.

Do I need someone to take me home after my procedure?

If you are having sedation, yes. If you are having a local anaesthetic procedure only you do not need to have a chaperone to take you home. If you are having foot and ankle surgery you do need a chaperone to take you home.

Dentistry

What Professional Whitening is Available?

We have a number of systems available to suit your individual needs including at home professional whitening and in-house instant whitening.

How much is Composite Bonding?

Composite bonding is £295 per full tooth coverage. There are cases whereby ‘edge-bonding’ is only required in which case this costs from £180 – £240. All of our treatment pages have price guides at the bottom of each page.

Does Composite Bonding damage my teeth?

Composite bonding is very popular due to the lack of ‘prep’ required for your teeth, unlike porcelain veneers that require slightly more ‘tooth shaving’.

How long do Dental Implants last?

Dental implants usually last a minimum of 20 years if they are maintained very well and regular dentist and hygienist visits are made.
