We specialise in providing our clients with a variety of surgical, non-surgical and dental treatments to enhance their confidence and have them feeling their best. From our state-of-the-art clinic in Billericay, we provide a multidisciplinary approach to treatment; and aim to restore our client’s confidence and enhance their lives with our range of procedures.

Dermal Filler for Foot Cushioning

One of the most foot problems that we address at FACEMED is for patients suffering with pain in the balls of their feet – which is something that many of us suffer with and can be caused by a number of factors. One of the most common factors for pain in the balls of our feet is age, because as we get older the fatty pad designed to cushion the balls of our feet becomes diminished. We provide treatment for this with Dermal Filler, where special hyaluronic acid dermal filler is carefully injected into the affected areas of the foot. This provides a plumping effect which in turn cushions the balls of the feet, reducing pain and lasting between 6-12 months.

Hallux Valgus (Bunion Surgery)

Another common foot problem that we can help you with at FACEMED with surgery is Bunions, which we can treat with Hallux Valgus (Bunion Surgery). Bunions can be very swollen, painful, callused and uncomfortable – and can cause many issues in your day-to-day life when it comes to walking and getting around. The cause of bunions is not known exactly, but many factors can contribute to bunions such as the type of shoes you wear, arthritis, family history of bunions, and biomechanical factors. Our Consultant Podiatric surgeon can surgically remove your bunion/s, which is a procedure that is undertaken in a day under local anesthetic.

Hammer, Claw and Mallet Toes

We also specialise in treating hammer, claw and mallet toes – which are deformities of the lesser toes and tend to be caused by joint or tendon imbalances. Living with them can be extremely difficult, as they can be not only painful but also not pleasing aesthetically causing a loss in confidence for some people.

Our Consultant Podiatric surgeon is able to permanently correct your Hammer, Mallet or Claw Toes – thus preventing any formation of painful corns on your skin overlying these joints. The surgery will involve the fusion of your deformed joint; either with a small implant or a surgical pin which will be removed after 4-6 weeks. As well as the types of foot surgery mentioned, we also specialise in Hallux Rigidus (Big Toe Arthritis), Neuromas Of The Foot, and Plantar Fascitis.
